They normally say that a priest is not recognized in his own home, but as it appears that is not the case with Ghana’s fastest lyricist, Sarkodie, prefarrably called Mr. Obidi by his numerous fans and lovers.
The hugely popular BET nominee cum multiple time Ghanaian Artists of The Year apparently pushed his luck too far on KSM’s Thank God Its Friday show on Metro TV 2 Fridays ago when he declared live on air that he is looking to father 2 kids with an interested Ghanaian lady.
Barely 15 minutes after the “You Go Kill Me” crooner made the “national announcement”, the calls were said to have started pouring in like it was raining cat and dog. It is reported that by the following Friday over 1000 calls had come through – all from ladies who were ready to have babies for him. Only then did Sarkodie know that he had actually bitten more than he can chew!
How The Severe “Trouble” All Began For Sarkodie
A casual discussion started rather harmlessly between KSM and Sarkodie as the former asked the latter about his dating life following a statement he made earlier that he was married to his music.
The rapper answered:
I’m still married to my music but there is one thing I wish and hope for right now. I want to make babies, in fact only two babies.
The TGIF host then asked how Sarkodie intended to make the two babies without getting married. Was he expecting to make babies with any woman who was ready to do that with him?
The discussion went on a bit longer and soon, KSM released a contact phone number for ladies interested in becoming Sarkodie’s baby mama to call in.
The result of the singular action from KSM turned out to marvel and mesmerize the everyone at the studio and the Producer in particular, Ama Misa, who said they knew that some ladies would call but they did not anticipate the large numbers.
We don’t usually keep records of the number of phone-ins we receive for our guests but I don’t remember any occasion we have been so inundated
Well, what can I say? You don’t expect to play with fire without getting burnt
Well, I’m so amazed at the kind of popularity that Sarkodie commands in and around Ghana.
I’m presently in Nigeria as I post this entry, and I must say that I’m quite shocked at the kind of mad love and popularity that the hardworking chap is getting from Naija – dedication and hard work pays!
Now that we are done with the “Sarkodie love story”, ladies, urhhhmmm, I’m interested in making kids with any 2 interested cutie out there. I just want 5 youngsters – not asking for much!
My international number is a long thing. Just add me up via my BBM PIN at the author byline (under this post) then we’d talk business. Lol
I’m out peeps!
