‘Alingo’ is a new music track by popular Nigerian duo, P Square. The track is alleged to be a studio leak…well, I don’t know about that.
You can stream and download the track with the link below.
Meanwhile, the release of Alingo would have been a smooth and nice one for P Squares’ fans, but on the contrary the premier has been marred by a huge war raging on Twitter right now.
The bone of contention is that the new Alingo track by P Square is sounding too similar to Timaya’s “Bum Bum” track which the latter dropped only recently.
Some of Timaya’s fans are out-rightly accusing P Square of ‘stealing’ Timaya’s song without giving credit to the latter.
The pic below shows the tweets by some of Timaya’s fans registering their disappointment over P Square’s Alingo ‘copy work’. Timaya has only been ‘innocently’ re-tweeting the words of his fans – smart dude
If I’m to pass a personal judgment on this, I’d say that it’s just the opening part of P Square’s Alingo that sounds like Timaya’s Bum Bum. However, I must point out point blank that when you hear Alingo play, Timaya will quickly come to mind – if you have listened to “Bum Bum”.
I’ve appended the streaming link to Timaya’s “Bum Bum” below so that you can listen, compare and contrast. Just as always, you be the judge!
