Man Marries Man In Ghana – How True Is This?

Nana Kwabena Bennie and Kwesi Nkoah on Wedding Day Man Marries Man In Ghana How True Is This?

The supposed married men on their 'wedding' day

Though this is apparently an old news, I noticed that it was making the front page of a multitude of Nigerian websites, forums and blogs yesterday. The Nigerians are so making fun of this piece of news, and bashing on Ghana real hard based on this same sex marriage tale, so I thought I’d repost the here for you all to examine and confirm if it really happened or not.

Nana Kwabena Bennie, popularly called Komfo Bennie of Apentamadi shrine near Sefwi Wiawso in the Western Region, has told DAILY GUIDE that his joystick had indeed mysteriously vanished one night in 2010 and was replaced with a womanliness because he disobeyed the gods he served, and that he later got married in a grand style.

The story even claims that one of the men in the gay marriage gave birth to a child…

The fetish priest, 25, who claimed to have been mysteriously turned into a woman by the gods and alleging that he gave birth to a baby girl, is in court for deceiving the public and baby theft, among others.

My colleague fetish priests and priestesses teamed up with me to consult our various gods and dwarfs for eight days, pleading with them to turn me back into a male, but to no avail, by then I had divorced Nana Ama, my wife,” he claimed

It also says that the changed sex of the “female” was confirmed by some men – the “hard” way. Those men get mind kraah!…

I must confess that some young men doubted me to such an extent that I could not help but prove a point. I willingly allowed them to have intimate intercourse with me and they all know themselves,” Komfo Bennie stressed.

This story was reported by Sefwi Apentamadi and was posted to ghanatoghana.com. You can read the full story here.

So what do you think of this story. If you have heard of it before, was it true or false. I really need to establish the facts here.
