Just a couple of hours ago, false rumors were making the rounds on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter about D’Banj’s death.
The gist was that D’banj was shot dead in New York city, USA just recently. Some others were saying that D’banj was aboard the Dana Airline plane that crashed in Lagos yesterday, June 3rd, 2012.
Thank goodness it is all fake gist. As D’banj once sang “some people dey want make I die, some people dey want make I cry, why? olumaje o!“. Olumaje! D’banj dem no go see you!
The Def Jam/Mecury music signee Dbanj has just debunked the rumors about his death via his official twitter handle, calling the rumors “nonsense”.

Few minutes ago Black Berry Messenger (BBM) and social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook were flooded with rumors about the death of the former Mo’ hits CEO, with some fans going as far using D’banj’s pic as their BBM DP (display Picture) and writing “R.I.P”.
Information reaching me is that Dbanj has just arrived in the Airport from UK.
Contrary to the rumors which claim the artiste was shot in USA, his management team have said that D’banj has not been to USA since he left Ghana early May when he attended a Vodafone signing event.
People and their death rumors sha. Before it was Tuface that they said died, then Akon, then Whiz Kalifa was eaten by some Alligator…
Hmmmm, of all pranks to pull, is it with someone’s life? Na wah o!
