Have you been looking for how to activate your Blackberry BIS for pinging on Glo Ghana service? Then this post is for you….an exclusive from Ghanacrunch.com!
It’s no longer news that Glo launched in Ghana on Sunday, 29th April, last month. Immediately after the launch, I was at the Glo shop the next day, in Koforidua, to grab my own Glo Ghana chip, as I had been enthusiastically awaiting their launch.
To cut long story short, I got my Glo Ghana chip, registered it and activated it. After making inquiries on the Glo Ghana High Speed internet service (which I’m using to browse now), I made full findings on how to activate my Blackberry BIS for pinging on the Glo Ghana service. I have activated my BB on the Glo Ghana BIS, and I will be teaching you how to activate yours too in a bit.
Without much ado, let’s dive into the subscription/activation codes for the Glo Ghana BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) plans.

Just a little help before you run off to ping…
When you send the sms to 777, you will be told that your BIS is being activated that you should reset your BB by removing the battery and putting it back again.
Well, if you have been using BB for a while, you will know that removing and replacing the battery results in a low battery. To skip that, all you have to do is turn off your Mobile network, wait for about 10 seconds, then turn it on again.
To do that, go to “manage connections” then untick the “mobile network” box. Wait for 10 seconds, then tick it back
When your network is turned back on, if your BIS was successfully activated, you should see a Blackberry logo just beside your network bar on your phone’s home screen. See pic below…
When your BIS is activated, you can add me on your BBM for a chat . My PIN is 214F96D7.
